The 73-key Clavia Nord Electro 3 73 virtual electromechanical keyboard updates the Nord Electro 2 with a new organ section, a new piano section, new effects, eight times the memory capacity of the original Electro with 256 MB samples and 126 programs, and now allows the Clavia Nord Electro 3 to use samples from the Clavia Nord Wave library.

Using the same format as the Nord Wave, virtually any instrument or sound from the Nord Sample Library can be added to the Nord Electro 3 73. Alternatively, create your own sample instruments with the Nord Wave manager for use in the Clavia Nord Electro 3 73 keyboard.

Any current or future piano available for the Nord Stage family is automatically available to the Nord Electro 3 keyboard as the Nord Electro 3 keyboard uses the same same sample format as the Nord Stage.

The Nord Electro 3's organ section is derived from the Nord C1 Combo Organ, with sounds from the B3, Farfisa and Vox models. Like the Nord C1, the Electro 3 emulates every individual sound creating component and mechanical artifacts of the original organs. Also included from the Nord C1 Combo Organ is a rotary speaker emulator with the acoustic variations as a physical speaker rotates, spreading sound in a room. Rotary Stop Mode allows switching between fast and stopped rotation via either the panel controls or via a foot pedal.

The Clavia Nord Electro 3 is equipped with a range of effects: five different reverb algorithms, tremolo, panning, wah-wah, phaser, flanger, and choruses. A 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, a compressor, and three amplifier simulations are available in the final stage of the Nord Electro 3 audio path for creating the final sound.

A Monitor Input jack allows plugging a MP3 or CD player into the Nord Electro 3. With the Monitor Input signal present in the Nord Electro 3 headphone output, you can jam or practice to previously recorded music without needing an external sound system.
